Key Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary
Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
Communicates care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at time of discharge, and informs them of hospital procedures
Delegates tasks to support staff and makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Current ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures with strong verbal, written, and computer communication skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program
Ability to effectively respond to the cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
