Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Tuesday Start
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
- Perform peripheral IV insertion, NG tube management, dressing changes, and central line management
- Monitor patients on telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Utilize Meditech EMR and operate equipment including Mobilab and Baxter pumps
- May float to other Medical Surgical Telemetry level-of-care departments as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs and PCTs in a Magnet-designated facility
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience, with at least 6 months of direct Medical Surgical patient care experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Charge nurse experience
- Advanced Medical Surgical certification (MSRN)
- Experience with Meditech EMR
