Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Stroke Unit in an inpatient hospital setting
- Assess, monitor, and document neurological and medical-surgical patient conditions throughout the shift
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Perform stroke-specific assessments utilizing the NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida state RN license or multistate compact license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience
- Demonstrated stroke unit experience (must be reflected in submission)
- AHCA compliance required for all Florida-based travel assignments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Stroke Unit setting
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems used in acute care environments
