Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Stroke Unit during night shift hours
- Assess, monitor, and document neurological status and stroke-related conditions for assigned patients
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and facility regulatory requirements, including AHCA standards
Required Qualifications
- Active Florida state RN license or multistate compact license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2+ years of recent Medical Surgical RN experience required
- Stroke unit experience required; NIHSS and stroke experience must be documented in submission
- AHCA compliance required for all Florida travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Stroke setting
- Familiarity with stroke protocols and neurological assessment tools
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into an established unit team
