Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Rotating Weekends
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
- Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
- Administer medications accurately and in accordance with facility protocols
- Document all patient care activities and clinical findings in the electronic health record (Meditech EMR)
- Communicate effectively with all members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of acute Medical/Surgical experience within the past year
- Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously
- Proficiency with standard nursing equipment and EMR documentation
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of acute Medical/Surgical experience within the past year
- Background in orthopedics, neurosurgery, or Medical/Surgical Telemetry
