Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Nights)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 11 Weeks | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 39-bed Medical Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Manage and treat common diagnoses including fractures, COPD, hypertension, chest pain, CHF, and infections
- Document patient care accurately using the Paragon EHR system
- Float to weekend assignments as required per unit float requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams within a Joint Commission Accredited facility offering orthopedics, cardiology, general surgery, women's care, and behavioral health services
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Willingness to float to weekend shifts as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with the Paragon electronic health record system
- Background working with adult and geriatric patient populations
- Familiarity with chest pain protocols and cardiac care settings
