Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Transplant Medical-Surgical / Telemetry / Step-Down Unit during night shift hours
- Monitor and assess transplant and medical-surgical patients, responding to changes in patient condition
- Perform telemetry monitoring and interpret cardiac rhythms as part of ongoing patient assessment
- Assume intermittent charge nurse responsibilities as needed, with charge training and shadowing provided
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, effective patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Experience in Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, or Step-Down nursing
- Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
- Availability for night shift scheduling
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a transplant or specialty medical-surgical setting
- Previous charge nurse experience or willingness to develop charge nurse competencies
- Telemetry certification or demonstrated cardiac monitoring proficiency
