Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 39-bed Medical Surgical unit serving cardiac, neurology, and post-operative patient populations
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Titrate drips including Heparin as required per patient care needs
• Utilize TelePacks for monitoring; rhythm interpretation is supported by the ICU team
• Float to other areas within the facility that serve medical patients as needed
• Adhere to all unit protocols; respiratory therapy manages all respiratory equipment needs - no ventilator management required on this unit

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Experience with drip titration, including Heparin
• Ability to work a rotating schedule including every-other weekend and every-other holiday

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Medical Surgical setting with cardiac, neurology, or post-operative patient populations
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Experience working in a unit where charge nurses may carry a patient assignment
