Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Three 12-hour shifts per week with 3–4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period | Projected Start: September 28, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Cardiac Med-Surg unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms using telemetry (airstrip/GE telemetry system) and perform EKG rhythm identification
- Manage and titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem and heparin; administer non-titratable drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, and amiodarone
- Document patient care accurately using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a free CNC/charge nurse, unit secretary (day shift), and 3 PCTs per shift
- Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and telemetry/EKG certifications throughout the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (must meet state requirements)
- Current BLS certification required
- Current ACLS certification required
- Telemetry/EKG cardiac rhythm identification certification or demonstrated competency required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Proficiency with cardiac medications and drip management
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Background in cardiac or telemetry nursing
- Familiarity with GE telemetry systems and Rover technology
- Travel nursing experience with ability to float in rotation with other travel nurses
