    Contract | Full-Time | Day Shift | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 46-bed Medical Surgical unit serving general med surg and all surgical cases except orthopedic and spine
    • Manage patient ratios of 1:4/5 during day shift in a fast-paced acute care environment
    • Administer and monitor continuous IV drips including amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, dobutamine, and milrinone
    • Operate and manage equipment including chest tubes, JP drains, 3-way foley catheters, and nasogastric tubes
    • Document all patient care activities accurately using EPIC electronic medical records
    • Float across Medical Surgical units within the facility as needed
    Required Qualifications
    • Minimum 24 months of current Medical Surgical, Stepdown, or Progressive Care RN experience
    • Active Iowa RN license or active Compact/Multistate RN license
    • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
    • Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
    • Demonstrated experience managing drips: amiodarone, diltiazem, heparin, dobutamine, and milrinone
    • Hands-on experience with chest tubes, JP drains, 3-way foley catheters, and NG tubes
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
    • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
