Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite | Floating and on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general skilled nursing (SNF) level of care within a Swing Bed / Medical Surgical unit
- Float within scope of practice and clinical competency, including Rehabilitation and Med/Surg settings
- Manage a patient ratio of up to 1:8 in a 15-bed unit
- Utilize the MedHost EMR system for documentation and patient management
- Participate in census-based on-call as needed prior to the start of a scheduled shift
- Maintain current BLS certification throughout the duration of the assignment
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be valid for practice in New Mexico
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Willingness and ability to float between Rehabilitation and Med/Surg units
- All travelers working in New Mexico are required to complete a fingerprinting process — candidates may only be submitted if their agency is registered with the State of New Mexico, as this process may take several weeks
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of RN experience preferred
- Prior experience in a Swing Bed, Skilled Nursing, or Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with MedHost EMR
