Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Holiday coverage required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 54-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform and document patient assessments, interventions, and care plans using Epic EMR
- Demonstrate IV start skills as a core component of daily patient care
- Float within scope to meet facility needs, including like units or sister facilities as required
- Participate in holiday coverage as scheduled, including Thanksgiving and either Christmas or Christmas Eve based on unit need
- Be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), staff and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical RN experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Preferred Experience / Skills- Telemetry experience and management of cardiac drips preferred
