Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care and ensure positive patient outcomes
- Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and responses using the facility's electronic documentation system
- Adhere to unit-specific floating policies and patient experience standards as directed by facility leadership
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Virginia or compact state eligibility
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Current BLS certification required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Compliance with all facility credentialing, health, and background requirements
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) documentation systems
- Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into new care team environments
