    Job Title

    Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float

    Location

    Bismarck, ND | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical Float unit covering a combined 61-bed environment with day ratios of 1:5
    • Care for a diverse patient population including surgical patients (total joints, fractures, bariatric, urology, general) and medical patients (CHF, CVA, shortness of breath, diabetic complications)
    • Monitor and confirm telemetry strip readings in collaboration with monitor technicians
    • Manage respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen as needed
    • Float to other units as required per department needs
    • Participate in call/standby requirements as assigned per LCD guidelines
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
    • Prior Medical Surgical nursing experience consistent with current med/surg standards
    • Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday
    • Willingness and ability to float to other units as needed
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience caring for surgical patients including total joints, bariatric, and urology populations
    • Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and strip confirmation
    • Comfort with respiratory support equipment such as CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
