    Job Title

    Travel Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Cardiology (Nights)

    Location

    Birmingham, Alabama

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Travel | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 36 Hours per Week Guaranteed | 13-Week Assignment | Every Other Weekend Required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical/Surgical Cardiology unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
    • Care for pre- and post-heart catheterization patients, as well as general cardiology patients presenting with chest pain, hypertension, and related conditions
    • Utilize Cerner EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
    • Operate standard acute care equipment in alignment with unit protocols
    • Serve as first to float as required by unit staffing needs
    • Maintain a flexible, dependable, and collaborative approach when working with staff and patients
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
    • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
    • Proficiency with Cerner EMR
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Cardiology nursing experience strongly preferred
    • Demonstrated acute care clinical skills
    • Adaptable personality with openness to feedback and strong interpersonal skills
