Registered Nurse – Neuro Med/Surg (Travel)

Schedule / Job Type
Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Neurosurgery/Neuroscience unit serving post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
- Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6 across an 18-bed unit
- Document and manage patient records using Cerner EMR
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Adhere to all unit dress code standards, including navy blue scrubs and no artificial fingernails
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- AHA NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Neuro and/or Neurosurgery nursing
- Expected weekly hours: 36
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience caring for post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patient populations
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
