Job Title
Registered Nurse – Critical Care Step-Down (Travel Contract)
Provide direct patient care on a Critical Care Step-Down unit serving an adult population (18 years and older) with a focus on cardiac and pulmonary conditions
Manage a patient ratio of 4:1, utilizing strong assessment, critical thinking, and multitasking skills
Monitor patients using cardiac monitors, suction, oxygen delivery systems, and vital sign equipment
Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EHR system
Work every other weekend, with an expected 24 hours of weekend coverage per rotation
Float to other units as needed; this position is first to float
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher
ACLS certification required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of RN experience
Proficiency with Meditech EHR
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with post cardiac catheterization care
Experience with peritoneal dialysis
Familiarity with common diagnoses including cardiac conditions, sepsis, acute respiratory failure, CHF exacerbation, post-operative care, and CIWA protocol
