    Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts) | Onsite | 36 or 48 hour weeks available | Up to 26 weeks | Every other weekend required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units, including ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, and surgical specialties (GI, urology, and gynecologic procedures)
    • Manage a patient assignment of 1:5–6 during night shift, with potential flex to 1:7–8 with LPN support
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians
    • Float to other Medical Surgical units based on facility need, typically approximately once per week
    • Participate in a mandatory orientation period during the first two weeks of assignment
    • Complete required non-billable orientation modules annually and as directed
    Required Qualifications
    • Valid Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); pending certification accepted with confirmed intent to obtain
    • Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • Willingness to float to other Med Surg units as needed
    • Availability for every other weekend
    • Supervisor-level professional references required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • 2 or more years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
    • Experience working with diverse patient populations including ortho, neurovascular, cardiac, pulmonary, and surgical patients
    • Comfort working alongside LPNs and patient care technicians in a team-based care model
