Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 28-bed Medical Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 5:1 to 6:1
- Work night shift as part of a team consisting of a Charge Nurse, 6 RNs, and 3 PCTs
- Operate and utilize unit equipment including Video EEG, Hoyer Lift, Bladder Scanner, Vital Sign Machines, and Telemetry
- Document patient care and clinical information accurately using the Meditech EMR system
- Complete 4 weekend shifts per month as part of the standard scheduling requirement
- Maintain compliance with required certifications including BLS, NIHSS, and Telemetry (Tele)
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- BLS certification (required)
- NIHSS certification (required)
- Telemetry (Tele) competency (required)
- Minimum of 1 year of hospital experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3 or more years of nursing experience
- Experience in epilepsy care
- Receptive to feedback and demonstrates an ownership mentality in patient care
