Job TitleRegistered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM | Expected weekend rotation at least every other weekend | No on-call requirement
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a day shift ratio of 1:5
- Perform and assist with a range of surgical procedures, including care for kidney transplant patients
- Manage and monitor patients with complex needs including transplant, dialysis, and diabetic conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians
- Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Communicate effectively using unit technology including i-mobile iPhones and radio headsets
Required Qualifications- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience caring for transplant, dialysis, or diabetic patient populations
- ACLS certification
- Strong team-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative
- Familiarity with Meditech EMR
