Job Title

Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)
Location

Austin, TX | Acute Care
Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM | Every other weekend expected
Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical unit with a night shift ratio of 1:6
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and patient care technicians
• Perform and assist with all surgical procedures, including care for kidney transplant patients
• Utilize Meditech EMR for accurate and timely documentation
• Communicate effectively using facility communication tools including i-mobile iPhones and radio headsets
• Maintain BLS certification as required throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of Medical/Surgical experience
• BLS certification required
• No on-call requirements

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with transplant, dialysis, and/or diabetic patient populations
• ACLS certification
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR
• Strong team player who takes initiative in a fast-paced environment
