Travel RN – Medical/Surgical (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week with rotating weekends | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 40-bed Medical/Surgical unit with a 1:7 patient ratio
- Perform unit-specific procedures including EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture
- Document patient information and care activities using the Meditech electronic documentation system
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including a clinical nurse coordinator, patient care technicians, and a unit coordinator each shift
- Adhere to floating policy, which requires contract staff to be first to float to like units as needed
Required Qualifications- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Georgia
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Medical/Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Ability to work rotating weekends as part of a 36-hour weekly schedule
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
- Previous travel nursing experience in a Med/Surg environment
- Familiarity with standard medical/surgical equipment and workflows in a large acute care hospital setting
