Key Responsibilities
- Staff a 28-bed Inpatient Observation Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment near the Emergency Department
- Provide care for a range of patients including medical beds, trauma overflow, and mid-holds with varying acuity levels
- Adapt to changing patient acuity and clinical needs within the observation unit
- Float to other areas of competency as needed
- Adhere to holiday staffing expectations as part of the role
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical or a comparable specialty within an acute care setting
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification preferred
- Experience working in or adjacent to an Emergency Department or observation unit setting
- Comfort managing patients across a spectrum of acuity levels
