Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Days | 3x12-hour shifts | Expected 36 hours/week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and standards of practice
- Assume charge nurse responsibilities when requested by unit leadership
- Perform wound care assessments and treatments as part of ongoing patient management
- Manage patients receiving PCA and epidural analgesia, monitoring for efficacy and adverse effects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate and deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Surgical experience required
- Wound care experience required
- PCA and epidural experience required
- Active Georgia RN license or compact license in hand at time of start
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience serving in a charge nurse capacity
- Familiarity with Med Surg patient populations in a high-acuity hospital setting
