Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed unit serving adult and older adult populations at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
- Manage and monitor patients requiring telemetry, including administration of Heparin drips and other acute medications as ordered
- Care for trauma patients and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Utilize specialty equipment including gait belts, geriatric chairs, and physical therapy equipment
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Documented Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required
- Must be able to provide completed skills checklist reflecting Med/Surg and Telemetry competencies
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
- Prior NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders) training
- Experience working with geriatric patient populations
