Travel RN – Medical/Surgical

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical/Surgical unit serving adult and geriatric populations
- Manage a patient ratio of 6:1, utilizing equipment such as bladder scanners and glucometers
- Care for patients presenting with common diagnoses including pneumonia, CVA, chest pain, post-surgical recovery, electrolyte imbalances, and DVT
- Document patient care accurately using the Medhost EHR system
- Maintain current BLS certification and all required credentials prior to assignment start
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid for practice in the state of Tennessee
- BLS certification required prior to start
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience
- All clinical staff must be cleared through the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start date; results required before beginning
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible as a travel candidate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Critical care thinking and clinical decision-making skills
- Experience with Medhost or similar EHR platforms
- Background working with adult and geriatric patient populations
