Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Care for post-surgical patients including those recovering from cholecystectomy and cystoscopy with stent placement
- Manage pain management protocols and monitor CIWA patients
- Utilize facility equipment including Hoyer lifts, Sara Steady, and bladder scanners
- Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
- Float to other units as needed based on hospital census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact license)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical or acute care RN experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a Medical Surgical or acute care setting strongly preferred
- Prior experience with HCA facilities
- High-energy, fast-paced personality with strong interpersonal skills
