Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Neuro Med Surg unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
- Perform and assist with unit procedures including EEGs, EKGs, and bladder scanning
- Operate and document within a Meditech EMR system
- Utilize Sara Steady equipment and adhere to unit safety and mobility protocols
- Participate in on-call rotation as required by unit scheduling
- Collaborate within a team nursing model alongside charge nurses, RNs, and patient care technicians
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
- Current and valid RN state licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Significant experience in a Neuro Med Surg or Stroke specialty setting strongly preferred
- More than 3 years of relevant clinical experience preferred
- Completion of or familiarity with Stroke Education programs
