Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit in accordance with facility protocols and nursing standards
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor and document patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment throughout the night shift
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, adhering to safety and compliance guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or a compact state license
- Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Current BLS certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Familiarity with acute care environments and high patient-volume units
- Strong critical thinking and adaptability skills in fast-paced clinical settings
