Key Responsibilities
- Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services in accordance with the physician-authorized plan of care and evidence-based nursing practice standards
- Provide direct patient care including medication administration, treatments, patient education, responding to call lights and alarms, and assisting with transfers
- Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to update or revise care plans to improve patient outcomes
- Function as a team leader and resource, delegating and providing direction to support staff as appropriate
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as facility-specific policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Active Michigan RN license (verified Active via LARA and/or Nursys)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification
- Active American Heart Association PALS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- Pediatric nursing experience required
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic EMR highly preferred
- Familiarity with interdisciplinary collaboration in an acute care hospital setting
