Description
Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Medical Surgical / Neuro unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
Participate in rapid response team activation as needed
Document patient care and clinical information using Epic electronic health records
Float to like units within scope of practice based on facility needs, with brief orientation provided
Adhere to weekend commitment of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
Required Qualifications
Active RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state (pending NM/Compact license accepted; must be obtained prior to start)
BLS certification required (pending accepted)
NIHSS certification required (pending accepted)
Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical or Neuro RN experience
Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
Previous staff must wait 1 year before returning in a travel capacity
Preferred Experience / Skills
CPI certification preferred
Experience with Epic electronic health records
