Travel RN – Med-Surg Float Pool

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse within a Med-Surg Float Pool environment at a large academic medical center
- Float to various medical-surgical units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
- Utilize Epic EMR to document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
- Adhere to facility dress code requirements, including navy blue scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of New York
- Epic EMR experience is required
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (competency testing required at submission); candidates with 2 or more years of experience are exempt from testing
- Candidates with 1 year of experience must complete a competency test within 24 hours of submission; an up-to-date email address must be provided at time of submission
- Candidates must not reside in ineligible local counties; only travel candidates are being considered at this time
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2 or more years of Med-Surg RN experience in a large academic or teaching hospital setting
- Prior float pool experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple units
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment
