Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct clinical nursing care to Medical Surgical patients during night shift hours
- Float to other units as required based on census and staffing needs
- Actively participate in nursing student support and clinical education alongside the provision of patient care
- Complete required orientation modules and online CBLs as part of onboarding
- Maintain compliance with all facility and regulatory requirements, including AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA BLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; no other versions will be accepted)
- AHA ACLS certification required (AHA is the only accepted form; no other versions will be accepted)
- NIHSS certification required
- Must complete Relias EKG testing within 72 hours of signing; two attempts allowed — failure of both results in automatic cancellation
- Must live at least 100 miles from the facility's service area to be eligible (no locals accepted)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting
- Experience supporting nursing students or participating in clinical education programs
- Familiarity with census-based scheduling flexibility and float pool assignments
