Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse
Local Travel Position
Location: IHS Gallup, NM 87301
Schedule: 40 hours per week
Contract Length: 6 months, with the possibility of extension
Pay: $50.00/hour + $4.93/hour Health & Welfare + travel stipends, if applicable
Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
Administer IV infusions and medications according to physician orders.
Perform phlebotomy procedures for laboratory testing and patient monitoring.
Participate in discharge planning to ensure safe and seamless transitions of care.
Apply knowledge of physiology to monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
Assist with the sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment in accordance with safety and infection-control standards.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive and patient-centered care.
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and care provided in medical records.
Assist with patient ventilation and respiratory support when necessary, following established safety protocols.
Provide education, guidance, and emotional support to patients and their families regarding health management and ongoing care.
Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
Nursing degree or diploma.
NRP and ENPC certifications preferred.
Three professional references.
PTO: 10 days total — 5 days accrued at 6 months and 5 days at 1 year.
Sick Leave: 56 hours accrued.
Paid Holidays: 11 federal holidays.
