The average daily census is 35 patients. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The clinician may float as needed per department needs. Candidates should discuss schedule requests with the manager. Local candidates are accepted. RTO restrictions ideally limit to no more than 5 days. Candidates may be called off up to 36 hours per 13-week assignment without compensation for canceled hours. Med/Surg experience is required. Candidates must possess required skills in accessing ports, blood product administration, and central line blood draws. Knowledge of managing peripheral lines and starting IVs is essential. Candidates should have experience with oral suctioning and oxygen administration. CPAP/BiPAP management and tracheostomy management are required. Familiarity with Cerner for charting is necessary. Patients will include adults and geriatrics with a variety of diagnoses. Interdisciplinary support is available from IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. The unit may handle procedures including foot and leg amputations and dialysis. Clinical services provided include rapid response and wound care. Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring is a plus. Candidates must be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. The role requires knowledge of various patient care protocols and procedures. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking and communication skills. Flexibility and the ability to work within a team are essential for success in this position.
