Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit in Montour Falls, New York. This role involves providing comprehensive, direct patient and family-centered nursing care within a dynamic hospital environment, focusing on patients with a variety of acute and chronic medical conditions requiring telemetry monitoring.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care plans. This includes addressing the physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of patients, ensuring the highest quality of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in accordance with the full scope of nursing practice and established protocols.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely as prescribed.
  • Monitor patient progress, collect and analyze data, and document observations meticulously.
  • Collaborate effectively with physicians, allied health professionals, and other nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient programs and services.
  • Provide comprehensive patient and family education and emotional support.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry unit.
  • Ability to work every other weekend and every other holiday as scheduled.
