Contract | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 37-bed surgical unit that also accommodates medical overflow patients
• Manage a patient assignment of approximately 4 patients per RN during day/evening hours and 5–6 patients per RN during overnight hours
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential float to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Document patient care accurately using Epic (Excellian) electronic health records
• Participate in every 3rd weekend rotation as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Minnesota license in hand preferred (pending licensure considered)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• BLS certification required
• Epic/Excellian charting experience required
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Candidates must be available for fingerprinting as required by Minnesota state law; results must be on file prior to start
• A minimum of 1 supervisor reference required at time of submission

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a teaching hospital or trauma-level facility
• Familiarity with surgical and medical overflow patient populations
• Flexibility with scheduling and ability to float within a hospital system
