Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 37-bed surgical unit that also accommodates overflow medical patients
• Manage a patient assignment of approximately 4 patients per RN during day/evening hours and 5–6 patients per RN during overnight hours
• Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs, including potential float to an affiliate hospital nearby
• Document patient care accurately using Epic (Excellian) electronic health records system
• Participate in every 3rd weekend rotation as part of the standard schedule

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Minnesota license in hand preferred — candidates without MN licensure must initiate the application process upon offer acceptance
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Surgical nursing
• BLS certification required
• Willingness to float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate facility as needed
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Fingerprinting (LiveScan) is required as part of the compliance process; candidates should be prepared to complete this as early as possible, as results may take 1 day to 3–4 weeks

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Epic/Excellian charting system
• Prior experience in a teaching hospital or trauma-level facility
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
