Schedule: Night shift, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts, weekdays with every other weekend. Patient ratios 1:5-6. Blocked scheduling available.
Highlights:
- 12-bed inpatient oncology unit with medical-surgical overflow
- Oncology experience preferred but not required; excellent opportunity for med-surg nurses to expand specialty skills
- 13-week initial contract with strong possibility for extension; longer contracts welcome
- Cerner EMR system with interdisciplinary support including IV teams, pharmacy, rapid response, and more
- Comprehensive orientation provided with 12 hours of onboarding support
- Experience with chemotherapy administration, port management, and oncology-specific care highly valued
Requirements:
- Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state license required; pending licenses accepted for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; minimum 1 year recent experience in medical-surgical or oncology nursing
- BLS and ACLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification required
- ONS chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred; OCN or ONS/ONCC certifications a plus
- IV start skills required
- Permanent address must be 100+ miles from facility location
- Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Professional scrubs in burgundy and/or white (scrubs not provided)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- Reliable attendance record and strong commitment to scheduled shifts required
