# Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night Shift, 19:00-07:30, weekdays and weekends (3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period)

• 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit with telemetry capabilities serving approximately 30 patients daily
• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-7 with acuity-based assignment optimization
• Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Collaborative nursing team supported by clinical nurse coordinators on every shift and an engaged nurse manager with strong unit presence
• 12-hour orientation period with ongoing leadership support through daily huddles and patient flow management

Requirements:

• Active RN License (West Virginia or Compact state; pending licenses accepted for submission)
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; travel experience not required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (must be American Heart Association for BLS/ACLS)
• Permanent address located at least 75 miles from the facility (candidates between 75-100 miles reviewed case-by-case)
• Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:6 or similar
• Proficiency in Med/Surg and telemetry nursing skills including central line management, isolation precautions, IV therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation, wound care, and respiratory support
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
• Reliable attendance is essential; consistent attendance expectations in place
