Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; 3x12 or 4x12 schedule; 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
Highlights:
- 34-bed medical-surgical unit with telemetry capabilities
- Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-7 on night shift
- 13-week contract with possible extension opportunities
- Cerner EMR system in a dynamic acute care environment
- Collaborative interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
- Strong unit leadership with clinical nurse coordinators on every shift and an engaged nurse manager
Requirements:
- Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) – AHA-certified
- Experience with medical-surgical and telemetry patient populations
- Proficiency in Cerner EMR preferred
- Permanent address at least 75 miles from facility location
- Two professional references from managers or charge nurses within the past 2 years
- Strong attendance record and commitment to reliable scheduling
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
