Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Medical Oncology – Florida
Start Date: September 21, 2026
Location: Tallahassee, Florida
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), every other weekend as needed
Highlights:
- Work in a 33-bed Medical Oncology unit within a 266-bed acute-care facility recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in Medical Surgical Nursing (2018)
- Patient ratio of 1:6 with strong support staff including unit secretaries, CNAs, charge RN, and unit leadership on each shift
- Utilize modern technology including electronic whiteboards, iPhones with iMobile, and remote telemetry; documentation via Meditech EMR
- Provide inpatient chemotherapy administration as part of a collaborative oncology nursing team
- Join a designated Hospital of the Future with frequent pilots of innovative technology and supplies
- 13-week travel assignment with 48 guaranteed hours available
Requirements:
- Active Florida RN license or compact state license
- Current BLS certification required
- Medical Oncology experience preferred; specialty certifications such as Med-Surg, Palliative Care, or ONS certification are highly valued
- ONS chemotherapy training or willingness to complete upon hire
- Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
- Commitment to hourly rounding and exceptional patient experience standards
