Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years minimum experience required License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Teamwork approach to patient care - Focus on patient safety Description: This is a Neuro Unit. The unit requires a minimum of 2 years of experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Candidates must demonstrate a teamwork approach to patient care. Focus on patient safety is essential. Certifications in ACLS and BLS are required. Preferred skills include NIH certification and neuro experience. Experience or willingness to learn the charge nurse role is preferred. Patient ratios are 1:6. Weekend shifts are expected, equating to 5-6 weekend shifts during the contract period. All staff may be required to work during catastrophic events, mass casualties, or disasters. Travelers must float to different units or areas within the facility as needed. Must pass EKG testing prior to start for this specialty. All requests for time off must be pre-approved. No additional time off will be permitted post-signing. Candidates must be open to floating across units as described in the job details. Prior experience in a charge role is preferred. Demonstrated abilities in managing dysrhythmias is advantageous. Familiarity with medication and documentation systems used in the unit is beneficial. All interactions must align with behavioral expectations within the team. Candidates must ensure adherence to the call-off policy, which is strictly enforced.
