Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Neurology – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Wilmington, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 or 48 hours per week, patient ratio 1:6, every other weekend required (5-6 weekend shifts per contract period)

Requirements:
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Proficiency in IV starts and peripheral line management
  • Experience with 6-7 patient ratios preferred
  • Neurology experience and NIH stroke scale experience strongly preferred
  • Must be willing to float to other units as needed (travelers float first)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date

  • Contract staff may be assigned to Storm Team/Hurricane Team and required to report during catastrophic events or disasters

  • Candidates residing within 50 miles considered local with different compensation structure
