Description

Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – North Carolina

Start Date: September 28, 2026

Location: Coastal North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 36 or 48 hours per week, 13-26 week contract. Weekend requirement of 12-16 shifts per contract. Patient ratio 1:5-6.

  • First-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years of experience

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry nursing experience
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy, central line care, wound care, respiratory management (CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula), blood product administration, and isolation precautions
  • Experience with feeding tube management, colostomy care, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and hemodialysis care preferred
  • Epic charting experience strongly preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
  • Willingness to float to other units as needed and work storm/hurricane team assignments
