Job Title: Registered Nurse

License: Active RN License
Certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
Must-Have: 1 year of experience with at least 1 travel assignment
Description:
Strict 75-mile radius from the address on the traveler's driver's license to the facility.
Experience in a unit with 44 beds and 40 staff members is required.
Staffing ratios are 1:5, possibly 1:6 for both days and nights.
EMR experience is preferred, but not required.
Nurse aides and CNAs are available with a ratio of 1:8, and generally 1:10, with sitters provided.
Shift times are from 6:45 AM to 7:15 AM, all 12 hours in length.
Weekend requirements are every other weekend.
Holidays are expected as needed.
Scrub color required is Caribbean Blue.
Telemetry is monitored on a different unit.
Floating is required to all acute care and cardio units for medical care or patient holds.
General orientation is one week and includes EMR training.
Floor-specific orientation lasts for two days.
The location has a population of 80,000 with proximity to larger cities and recreational areas.
Housing options are available in safe and clean areas, with regular availability.
Cancellation policy allows for 12 hours every two weeks.
Charting system used is MEDITECH.
BSN is not required.
License to submit is necessary.
This is a trauma level acute care setting.
