Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Start Date: ASAP

Location: West Virginia

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period

Highlights:

  • 13-week contract with strong potential for extension
  • 34-bed medical/surgical telemetry unit with diverse patient acuity
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7, supported by interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, and pharmacy
  • Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
  • Comprehensive orientation with clinical nurse coordinators providing shift leadership and daily huddles
  • Collaborative team environment with engaged nurse manager and structured support system

Requirements:

  • Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state license accepted; pending license considered for submission)
  • Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
  • Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) through American Heart Association
  • Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
  • Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility location
  • Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
