Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse – West Virginia

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, choice of 3x12 or 4x12 schedule with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
Highlights:
- 13-week contract with strong potential for extension
- 34-bed medical/surgical telemetry unit with diverse patient acuity
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-7, supported by interdisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response, and pharmacy
- Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner
- Comprehensive orientation with clinical nurse coordinators providing shift leadership and daily huddles
- Collaborative team environment with engaged nurse manager and structured support system
Requirements:
- Active RN license (West Virginia or Compact state license accepted; pending license considered for submission)
- Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) through American Heart Association
- Experience with 1:6 patient ratios preferred
- Permanent address must be at least 75 miles from facility location
- Minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
- Skills proficiency in telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line management, isolation precautions, dysrhythmia interpretation, and various procedural competencies
- Reliable attendance is essential; consistent reliability expected throughout contract duration
