Key Responsibilities of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse- Continuously monitor patients' cardiovascular status using various devices
- Assess for signs of cardiac complications and respond appropriately
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions
- Provide post-surgical and post-procedural care to cardiac patients
- Educate patients and their families on cardiac conditions and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans
- Respond to emergent situations and provide immediate interventions
- Follow infection control protocols and ensure patient safety
Requirements of the Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in Med Surg
- Minimum 1 year of travel experience
- Current license by the Ohio State Board of Nursing or Mult-State License
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Experience in cardiac care, critical care, or telemetry nursing
