Seven Healthcare are seeking an experienced Med Surg Registered Nurse for a travel assignment in Peoria, IL. This role involves working in an acute care setting, providing care to general medical patients with various diagnoses in a 31-bed unit. Travel RNs will benefit from support and collaboration with a team dedicated to patient-centered care and a structured work environment.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel- Provide nursing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions
- Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 4-5:1 during the day and 5-6:1 at night
- Titrate Heparin drips as necessary
- Monitor patients remotely via house-wide telemetry department
- Collaborate with unit leadership for scheduling preferences
- Float to other units as needed
- Perform IV starts and manage patient care equipment
- Work every other weekend (day or night shifts)
Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel- BLS certification
- Active IL RN licensure or confirmation that the license application process is initiated
- A minimum of 1 year of hospital experience preferred
- Proficiency in titrating Heparin drips
