Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical care for a 13-week contract assignment in Honolulu, Hawaii. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse adult patient population with various medical and surgical conditions in an acute care setting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for patient assessment, medication administration, wound care, post-operative care, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, vital sign monitoring, and medication administration.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Perform wound care, IV insertion, and other nursing procedures as required.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
